A 15 second teaser trailer for Star Wars Rebels will air Monday 10/7 during the premiere of Mighty Med on Disney XD and will be online shortly after.

I work for neither Hasbro nor Big Bad Toy Store, so I don’t feel compelled to upsell this.  Wave 2 is half fail.  Even a character that was hugely anticipated was fumbled by Hasbro at the goal line.  However, if there is a completist among you, you’d be advised to order while you can.  On the upside, Pablo-Jill is one of the best figures to date (according to reports).

Ben Moore, the founder of the London-based public art enterprise Art Below, has teamed up with the charity Missing People to resurrect the Stormtrooper helmets for a charity art auction called “Art Wars.

Aint It Coll News discovered this tidbit.  While addressing investors, IMAX CEO Richard Gelfond hinted that they are talking to J.J. Abrams about shooting Episode VII in IMAX.  If true, I’ll be driving a little further to go see Episode VII.

The Portland Ad agency Sincerely Truman has made a video detailing how J.J. Abrams can make Star Wars great again. Their four points are fairly obvious to most fans, which begs the question, why wasn’t this obvious when the dreadful prequel trilogy was being made?  Regardless of how familiar this territory is to most fans who have been complaining about Jar Jar for over a decade, the production value of the video is outstanding.

If you don’t make the familiar Tie Fighter roar when looking at the concept art, you’re a terrible fan. I’m trying to avoid getting my hopes up for this show, but that’s proving difficult.

My Toys R Us completed their boys section reset and one item curiously survived the reset with pegs allocated.

An unusual casting call has gone out to UK talent agencies asking for a “Tall Man (Male, 21 - 60) Male, 7 ft to 7.3 ft tall with a slim/thin build and upright posture. Not too worked out or too ‘thick set’ especially in the shoulders. Broad facial features would be a bonus.”

Given that the original Chewbacca is unfortunately not as ambulatory as he had once been, this is sparking speculation of a walking carpet appearance in Episode VII.

It’s a reminder of how close the entertainment mediums are to converging.  The video game engine behind Star Wars 1313, one of the casualties of LucasArts closing operations, has been resurrected as a post-production technology for movies.

Latino Review chimes in again with two more actors who have “taken meetings” regarding Episode VII and one who met with JJ Abrams personally.

Latino Review chimes in with more information on the New Mexico shooting location, the identity of an actress who read for an unknown part, and most importantly they assert that a recent casting denial is all a smoke screen.

The holiest of Holy Grail Star Wars action figures is up for auction on Ebay.  This L-slot rocket firing Boba Fett prototype is authenticated and graded AFA 80.  Every day I don’t own this figure, I die 1,000 deaths.

According to the site oneheadlightink, New Mexico joins London and Los Angeles as shooting locations for Episode VII.  Part of me wonders if the rumors for the one off films are starting to getting muddled with Episode VII rumors, but if the commitment to “on location” shooting is true, you would have to imagine that New Mexico would make for decent Tatooine exteriors.

This is fairly outstanding.  An industrious tech geek named Ted Pietrusky recreated the opening crawl to A New Hope entirely in HTML using a combination of HTML, CSS and Java script.  The best part is that the code is available for download.

Some Amazon storefront sellers are already blowing out the three poor wave 1 offerings.  This is unreal for a line that is one month old.  How many times can Hasbro keep tripping out of the starting blocks?
